About Apostolos

I help teams turn strategy into systems.

I’m Apostolos Bolkas, a digital strategist and marketing consultant. I work with growth minded teams who need clarity before they scale.

Not more ideas.
Not more channels.
Clear thinking that turns into repeatable systems.

I’ve learned that growth stalls when three things drift apart:

  • Strategy loses direction.
  • Performance becomes activity without proof.
  • Automation scales chaos instead of progress.

When those three are aligned, momentum follows.
Here I share the thinking, tools, and experiments behind that approach.

How I work

My work sits at the intersection of strategy, performance, and automation.

  • Strategy sets direction. We define what you’re trying to achieve, who it’s for, and what matters now.
  • Performance proves what works. We measure outcomes, not activity, and learn fast.
  • Automation makes it scale. We turn repeatable wins into systems that compound.

Simple. Practical. Measurable.

Background

I’ve spent over twenty years working across agencies and as an independent consultant, helping brands navigate the shift from analogue marketing to digital systems.

I’ve worked in Athens, London, and Sofia with international teams, supporting brands like IKEA, Unilever, McDonald’s, Johnson & Johnson, and Nestlé.

What mattered most in every case wasn’t tactics. It was clarity.
Clarity about priorities, trade offs, and what not to do.

In 2019, I went independent to focus on what I do best. Helping technology and B2B teams make better growth decisions before they invest more time, money, and attention.

What usually changes

Teams typically come to me when things are moving fast, but not always in the right direction.

  • Too many initiatives.
  • Unclear ownership.
  • Channels that work sometimes, but not predictably.

A few months later, the questions change.

  • What are we optimising for is clear.
  • What to prioritise is no longer a debate.
  • What scales, and what doesn’t, is visible.

The work isn’t about doing more. It’s about making progress easier.

Outside of work

Outside of client work, I spend time experimenting with Linux and open source tools, reading widely across literature and science fiction, and exploring new cycling routes.

The common thread is curiosity. I enjoy understanding how systems work, and how small changes create leverage over time.

Let's talk

If you’re responsible for growth and things feel busy, but slightly out of sync, this is usually the point where a reset creates more value than more speed.

That’s the kind of work I do. If it sounds familiar, we should talk.
